Commission Portrait

I'm alive, I just have been super busy. The last two weeks I have been contacted by 4 different sources who have been interested in me doing art work for them! I feel greatly blessed to be able to do art, which is one of my passions, and get to stay home with my little one.
Here is a commission that someone asked me to do for them, portraits are probably one of the easier things for me to do but the most nerve wrecking to give to my customers because there are the ones that know the faces better than I and they will be the first one to know if something isn't right. Luckily she loved it, so I call that a success I will try and post more in the future, start posting what I'm working on, now let's just see if it happens!

Random Sketches and Robin Hood

I haven't really posted lately because I have been busy and never really get a chance to finish any paintings, I just usually draw something I feel like and never finish, so here are some ideas that I probably will never finish.

Two years ago I was in an illustration class that focused on Robin Hood and a friend of mine wanted some of us from that class to do some more Robin Hood art work for fun, so this is some sketches I did yesterday of maid marian. I was just playing with different hair styles, but I want to experiment a little more. 

And here is a sketch of a commission that I'm doing, I already started painting but I will post that when it's finish.

Sorry I haven't posted for a while, but we just moved so I have been a little busy the last little bit, but here is an illustration I did for my mother-in-law that she needed for a poster. It was fun to do. enjoy!

Just for fun I did a painting of a character from Hunger Games, it's nothing great but it's something I did one night because I couldn't think of anything else.

Sorry I haven't posted for a while, it's been hard to find time to do art the last month. We have been traveling, and being a new mom, and the last two weeks I have been dedicated all my free time in reading Hunger Games, so now that I'm finish with that series I can start producing more art again.

This is is princess and the pea, it's still really rough but it gives you an idea.

For my portfolio I wanted some b&w pieces so I did this one before I did it in color.

Well here is works of progress, snow white is pretty close to being done, and the rest still have a lot of work, but I wanted to post to show I'm still here.

Dustin couldn't help but work on it a little so that's why the arms are rough but I liked the changes he did.

Princess sketch

Sorry for not posting for a while, my mac book pro died last weekend! I'm so sad I was working on a painting I was very excited about and now I can't work on it, so I was a little discouraged and didn't work on art for a while. Luckily I have another mac but Dustin is usually on it so I don't really get a chance between him using it and taking care of the little one to draw. But here is a sketch of something I might start working on, for a long time I wanted to do a little series of all the fairy tale princesses in a spot illustration form, I did princess and the frog about two years ago and had fun doing it, so here is my Repunzel (sp) and hopefully I will do more in the near future.
It's a work in progress so I know it has some issues.

A Post Finally!

A Sneak Peak

I haven't really posted a lot on this blog because I have been working on my BFA right now, and I don't want to show my whole show before I even display it in the gallery. But here are some sneak peaks.

First Art Job

A coworker asked me if I could do portraits of his kids with Christ. So here is my first paid project I have done. It's not much but it is a good start. I didn't think it was the best but he and his wife loved it so I call that a success.

A side note I didn't know how I was going to draw Christ, but I used Dustin, my husband, and it pulled off.
